Susan MarquseeSynBERC PI Susan Marqusee has been appointed Interim Director of QB3 at UC Berkeley, effective April 15, assuming the post recently vacated by Graham Fleming, who was named Vice Chancellor for Research. Marqusee has helped to lead QB3-Berkeley as Associate Director since the Institute's formation in 2000. She has been integral to the successful design and completion of Stanley Hall, helping to implement the campus vision for a research facility where chemists, biologists, physicists, and engineers would collaborate in new ways and break down barriers between departments and disciplines. Three SynBERC PIs (Anderson, Bustamante and Marqusee) have labs in Stanley Hall.
